Economics

A Level Economics, at BAS, is a subject which always attracts a high level of student interest. In short, Economics is the study of how individuals, firms and governments decide how to use their limited resources in order to satisfy their unlimited wants and needs. Students who choose to study Economics not only gain the skills needed to understand complex markets, but come away with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as business acumen necessary to succeed in the professional world. In fact, Economics can be useful for professionals in all industries not just in business. On qualification completion, a number of our Economics students’ decide to go onto read Economics at undergraduate level, and have received and accepted offers from a variety of universities – such as, UCL, Oxford, Loughborough and Essex.
