From the Prep School through to the Abbey, the Mathematics Department is keen to play its part in ensuring Battle Abbey School remains a caring and highly regarded family school with exceptional care and sensitive discipline, accompanied by strong academic results, focusing on the importance of each individual child. 

Beyond the curriculum the Department offers a unique enrichment programme which sees students introduced to all manner of mathematical subjects, topics and issues – and not only those covered in typical examination syllabi. We will find skills and aptitudes in students that they may not know they possess and endeavour to nurture and develop them. We encourage students to become independent, accurate, efficient and flexible problem solvers.
